DC Realtors – Check your CE credits before the upcoming 8/31/19 license renewal!

We are about a month away form the upcoming DC license renewal deadline.  Make sure you are ready! These are the classes that are required to be completed by DC Realtors for the current 2017 – 2019 licensing cycle:

  • DC Fair Housing (3 hrs)
  • DC Legislative Update (3 hrs)
  • Ethics for DC 2017 -2019 (3 hrs)
  • 6 hrs of General Electives

If you’re not sure if you’ve completed them all, the DC Real Estate Commission provided the following instruction to allow you to check your CE credits:

STEPS FOR DC LICENSEES TO VIEW CURRENT REAL ESTATE CE TRANSCRIPT:

  • Go to: https://www.dcopla.com/realestate/
  • On the right side of the screen under the blue header labeled “Licensing Services”. Click the words “Click here” in the line:  “To access the online portal, please click here.”
  • If you hold or have held a DC LICENSE, you are already in the system and DO NOT need to create an account.
  • You will need to “request a password” if this is your first time logging into the system.
  • After you have signed onto the system, you should see your dashboard, which will display your CE record.
  • You may also see your CE status if you open the CURRENT application for licensure for the license type you currently hold.  In this case, it should be a RENEWAL Salesperson application.  Licenses on “Inactive” status will need a REINSTATEMENT application.
  • The current application will show what coursework is still outstanding in the “Complete Application Requirements” section.
  • If you find a discrepancy, CONTACT THE PROVIDER with whom you earned the credits to get it reconciled.  They may tell you that they already sent the credits over to the Commission, however, if the credits are not showing up, politely request that they reload them.
